Edward S. Ashman, M.D. joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2003. Dr. Ashman is fellowship trained in the surgical treatment of athletic injuries of the shoulder, knee, and elbow. He is currently on faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor for The University of Nevada School of Medicine.

Dr. Edward Ashman is active in sports medicine at the highest level, having served as a team physician at the collegiate level in Virginia, in addition to providing care professional athletes, including members of the ATP Professional Tennis Tour and the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour. Dr. Ashman has also provided care for many of the largest and most popular shows on the Las Vegas Strip, including Cirque Du Soleil productions.

Dr. Ashman received a Bachelor of Science in 1992 from Cornell University. Dr. Ashman attended Albany Medical College and received his Doctor of Medicine in 1997. His internship, and residency in Orthopedic Surgery, were completed at Albany Medical Center from 1997 to 2002. In 2003, Dr. Ashman completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at Nirschl Sports Clinic Georgetown Medical Center in Washington, D.C. under the guidance of Dr. Robert P. Nirschl. During his fellowship, Dr. Ashman served as a team physician for the George Mason University NCAA football and basketball teams.

Edward S. Ashman, M.D. was born in Johnson City, New York.
